Ela \u00e9 doutora pelo Politecnico di Milano e graduada em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo. \u00c9 professora associada em Design Transdisciplnar na Parsons School of Design, sendo fundadora naquela institui\u00e7\u00e3o do DESIS Lab, um laborat\u00f3rio de pesquisa-a\u00e7\u00e3o que trabalha na interse\u00e7\u00e3o entre design estrat\u00e9gico, gest\u00e3o e teoria social, aplicando suas compet\u00eancias interdisciplinares na compreens\u00e3o e solu\u00e7\u00e3o de problemas em sustentabilidade e inova\u00e7\u00e3o social. Em seu trabalho ela busca utilizar o Design de Servi\u00e7o para provocar impacto social positivo enquanto estabelece pontes entre inova\u00e7\u00e3o na pedagogia no ensino do Design e a busca de instrumentos para a conferir um papel mais transformadora na pr\u00e1tica de Designers, envolvendo tanto a sociedade civil como o setor p\u00fablico.

She has a PhD in Design from the Milan Polytechnic University in Italy and a BA in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of S\u00e3o Paulo in Brazil. She is an Associate Professor of Transdisciplinary Design at Parsons School of Design. Lara is co-founder of the Parsons DESIS Lab, an action research laboratory that works at the intersection of strategic design, management, and social theory, applying interdisciplinary expertise in problem setting and problem solving to sustainable practices and social innovation. In her work she seeks to explore the agency of service design to effect positive social change while bridging the gap between the innovation of design pedagogy and practice to equip designers to play a more transformative role, involving both civil society and the public sector. Lara is the author of \u201cAn Introduction to Service Design.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

O Dr. Jan Carel Diehl \u00e9 professor associado da Faculdade de Engenharia de Design Industrial da Universidade de Tecnologia de Delft com foco em Design para Sustentabilidade (DfS) para cen\u00e1rios com poucos recursos. Ele \u00e9 membro do conselho da Delft Global Initiative e pesquisador s\u00eanior do LDE Center for Frugal Innovation in Africa. Seu foco atual \u00e9 Assist\u00eancia M\u00e9dica Inclusiva para Todos e Projeto de Dispositivos de Diagn\u00f3stico Inteligente para Infec\u00e7\u00f5es Parasit\u00e1rias na \u00c1frica. Al\u00e9m disso, ele tem trabalhado em DfS com empresas e universidades em cerca de 60 pa\u00edses em todo o mundo. Ele \u00e9 coautor do manual UNEP Design for Sustainability for Developing Economies (D4S DE). Ele ministra cursos sobre empreendimentos sociais, sistema de servi\u00e7os de produtos sustent\u00e1veis e design para ambientes com poucos recursos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Jan Carel Diehl is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology with a focus on Design for Sustainability (DfS) for low-resource settings. He is board member of the Delft Global Initiative and senior researcher at the LDE Centre for Frugal Innovation in Africa. His current focus is on Inclusive Healthcare for All and Design of Smart Diagnostics Devices for Parasitical Infections in Africa. In addition, he has been working on DfS with companies and universities in about 60 countries world-wide. He is co-author of the UNEP Design for Sustainability manual for Developing Economies (D4S DE). He teaches courses on Social Venturing, Sustainable Product Service System, and Design for Low Resource Settings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
